Jump in and
make a splash! The Lake Champlain Vermont has both private sandy swimming
beaches and several sandy public beaches located around the lake, offering
opportunities to swim, paddle and soak up the sun. Many of the public beaches
and campgrounds have boat launches and rentals, picnic areas, and recreation
facilities as well.
If you're
near Ticonderoga, head to the family-oriented Black Point Public Beach—it's
known for its "million dollar view." Sit on the sandy beach and enjoy
the spectacular views of historic Rogers Rock and the lake. If you're farther
north, consider the Westport Municipal Beach, Noblewood Park in Willsboro, the
Lincoln Pond Campground in Elizabethtown or Bulwagga Beach in Port Henry.
